Yesterday a starting defensive end, Carlos Dunlap, for Florida's football team was arrested for DUI, and a couple of weeks ago Senator John Kerry's daughter was arrested for the same.
The arrests brought to my mind the seriousness of DUI's and the need for those arrested to have adequate counsel. For example, with Carlos Dunlap, by all indications it was his first offense and he was stopped asleep at the wheel, but because the arrest was one of a DUI, he will now miss the most important game on Florida's schedule up to this point. Senator Kerry's camp has not said much concerning his daughter's arrest.
So what does this mean? I've began thinking a lot about sharing how some of the "fool-proof" ways to convict one of DUI may not be so "fool-proof." Stay tuned...
