William J. Moore, Attorney at Law, providing Legal services in Coffee County, Dale County, Geneva County and Pike County in Southeast Alabama

Recently, on December 4, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals released several opinions. Two of them are reviewed below.

Dunn v. Dunn
The third in a series of Divorce Cases between two parties. The Alabama Court of Civil Appeals ordered the trial court to comply with its previous order, and denied an argument from the appellant that a telephone conference was improper instead of a form hearing.

Giardina v. Giardina
The second in a series of cases before the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals
The court held that the trial court's failure to rule on the pending contempt petitions in the post divorce proceeding renders the judgment on the wife's modification petition non-final. The appeal was also needed to order the trial court to comply with the Civil Court of Appeals instructions on remand.
