Important DUI Cases
Any case you have could potentially affect your constitutional rights; in fact this applies to DUI's too. Here are four Supreme Court cases which have ruled on issues which affect your rights as one suspected of DUI:

South Dakota v. Neville. The Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, as far as refusing to submit to testing, was held inapplicable in drunk driving cases.

Blanton v. North Las Vegas. Discusses the Sixth Amendment and DUI cases.

California v. Trombetta. Breath samples unlike other evidence need not be saved.

Michigan v. Sitz. Roadblocks set up to test sobriety were permissible.

I will discuss each in separate detail in the next few posts
